Red heart: max 45% from the diameter to the end where it appears
Star heart: not admitted
Healthy knots: max 1 knot/ 2 linear meters with a max of 50 mm diameter, located on one side
Cracks: laterally max 1/20 from the diameter; at the end 1/10 from the diameter
Bow: a max 5% bow is admitted
Coaja infundata: is admitted

B-type frame saw

Minimum diameter: 30 – 40 cm
Minimum length: 2,5 m ->
Red heart: any value
Star heart: not admitted
Healthy knots: max 1 knot/ 1 linear meter with a max 50 mm diameter, located on one side
Cracks: laterally 1/ 20 from the diameter; at the end 1/10 from the diameter
Bow: simple max 5% bow, multiple 1% bow on two sides
Coaja infundata: is admitted

Notes:

The minimum diameter is measured at the narrow, bark-free end.

When measuring the wood, for each 1 metre, 1 cm of length.

When the 30-39 diameter beech log is measured, 1 cm of bark will be subtracted from the measured value.

When more than 40 cm diameter beech log is measured, 2 cm of bark will be subtracted from the measured value.

A-type veneer

Minimum diameter: 45 cm ->
Minimum length: 3 m ->
Red heart: max.25% from the diameter to the end where it appears
Star heart: not accepted
Healthy knots: a maximum of 1 knot/3 linear meters with a 10-mm diameter, located in one side
Cracks: laterally max 1/20 from the diameter at the end 1/10 from the diameter
Bow: a simple 2% bow is admitted
Coaja infundata: the maximum allowed thickness of 1/6 of the diameter of the piece, where it appears

B-type veneer

Minimum diameter: 35- 45 cm
Minimum length: 3 m ->
Red heart: max 45% of the end where it appears
Star heart: not admitted
Healthy knots: max 1 knot/ 2 linear meters with a max diameter of 30 mm, located on one side
Cracks: laterally max 1/20 from the diameter; at the end 1/10 from the diameter
Bow: a max 2%, simple bow is allowed
Coaja infundata: the maximum allowed thickness of 1/6 of the diameter of the piece, where it appears
